About Steven

SteveSteven is a Licensed Psychologist who has been working with children and adolescents for over 25 years. Since 1995, he has been in solo private practice providing direct treatment to children and families, consultation to early intervention providers, preschools, elementary and secondary schools, and supervision and training to multidisciplinary professionals.  

Mr. Glazier is a Faculty member of Profectum Foundation, a non profit organization dedicated to "Advancing Development for Individuals and Families with Special Needs."  He strongly supports Profectum's Mission to:

Steven teaches, leads clinical discussion groups, and provides individual mentoring to participants in Profectum Academy's Certificate Training Program.

InfantHandHoldingAdultSteven is designated as an "Expert" DIR®/Floortime Provider by the Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders (ICDL- Founded by Stanley Greenspan, MD and Serena Wieder, Ph.D. ).  He is a graduate of ICDL's Facilitator Program where he trained and evaluated participants in the DIR® Certificate Program.

Steven was a Faculty member in the Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate Program at Widener University from 2010 - 2013.  He led clinical case discussion groups and provided individual mentoring to participants. He is currently on the Board of Directors for The Center for Autsim in Philadelphia and ASCEND, The Asperger and Autism Alliance for Greater Philadelphia. Steven has been on the Philadelphia Early Intervention Autism Advisory Committee.  In that capacity, he advised Elwyn on best practices for the assessment and treatment of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He also has served on the Board of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the World Association for Infant Mental Health.

Mr. Glazier has presented at conferences on various topics including the following: Anxiety in Infants and Toddlers, Promoting the Emotional Development of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, The DIR®/Floortime Model for Treating Children with Autism and Other Special Needs, Working with Families for the Non-Mental Health Professional, Older Children and Adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Play Date Facilitation, and Best Practices for Preschool Inclusion.
